While all this is going on, Edelman gets a visit
from Larry Talbot, who has an affliction of his own...he's the Wolfman.
And naturally, soon the moon will be full!!!! Initially turned away by
Edelman, he has himself locked up by the police, who entertain his plea
thinking him crazy. They soon learn Talbot isn't crazy at all, after he
transforms into the Wolfman in front of of the police chief and Edelman
himself!

Learning he'll have to endure another episode before
the doctor can help him, Larry decides to end it
all and forgo the torturous transformation by jumping from the cliffs off Edelmans estate.
The doctor tries to rescue him and discovers caverns under his mansion.
Along with the Wolfman!!!!!
Deteriorating rapidly, Edelman decides that rather than dissect the monster, he'll resurrect
him instead, and rule the world. Fortunately for Larry, Edelman does his
handiwork on him before he completely loses it. One of the greatest scenes
of all these films is when Larry faces the full moon...and maintains his
humanity. Unfortunately, he realizes he's the only one who can stop
Edelman and his evil plan from going forth and ends up bringing him down
and saving the world.

Larry comes out of
his Wolf state finding his hands wrapped around the neck of the one man
who can cure him, Edelman, who tells Larry that
they've found the one plant on earth they need to cure him growing in those
very
caverns!! They find something else too...the skeleton of Dr. Neiman
and ... the Frankenstein Monster, still alive and kicking after sinking in
the quicksand at the end of "House of Frankenstein".

This is pretty much the final nail in the
universal classics coffin, at least concerning the principles of dracula,
frankenstein, and the wolf man as we know them from that era. Happily,
fortune smiled on horrorheads everywhere when it was decided to put them
all together, one more time, for the eternal classic Abbott and Costello
Meet Frankenstein.
